it looks like a Chinese Iphone clone. On the other hand it could be the novelty everybody's waiting for, everybody who's had enough of the 'classics': Iphone or Android's big boys (Sammy, HTC, Sony and the rest of them.

Apple filed an eye tracking patent that deals with something called Troxler fading.

Face tracking and head tracking is interesting for viewing, but I’m not sure about navigation.

If it was eye-tracking, you could move a cursor around with your eyes, and if your gaze reached the bottom of the window, it would automatically scroll down (eye-scrolling video demo at 0:22: youtube/2q9DarPET0o?t=22s).

That’s probably more natural for auto scrolling than having to keep tilting.

This could all become a nightmare if anyone starts experiencing the motion sickness experienced on iOS7 parallax feature.

In iOS case, it was a subtle feature, but for Amazon, the phone almost hinges on this interface. That could be problematic.

To dismiss it and call it money or status, does not account for the gain Apple is having.

This phone could succeed if they follow this idea, making full use of amazon existing services. People who rely on amazon would love it.

However why would you bother side loading.. and fear of incompatibility, when people can just get a normal android phone?

BB tried to be compatible with android.. in the end flopped.

They should either develop their own platforms, call for developers like how MS does it, then to hitch a ride with android.
