alexv, 24 Jun 2014not a samsung fan but amoleds were always the bets hands do... moreOr colour burn, dark streaks, pentile, refresh rate issues (and formerly colour shifts, low brightness etc).

It's a double-edged sword, not everyone can live with so many flaws for just slightly better viewing angle and black/contrast.

I have the original Tab 7.7, Lumia 928 and G2. The dark streaks on both AMOLEDs are more than enough to offset the true black. Viewing angle is pointless with IPS/AMOLED. And the contrast of G2, 1:1500, is more than enough. You won't notice the difference unless with very dim light.

Well, good news for present And future of tablets technology (all users/us) and so really compliments to Samsung! ( Galaxy Tab S )

And which apps support this resolution? Do you see the (Android tablets) problem?

My brothers SGS3 and 4 has no burn in after 2 years and 1 year respectively. My father's SGS3 has no burn in after 2 years. So basically haven't faced this issue all my life using AMOLED. Not sure what those guys were doing with their Note to burn in 3 weeks. You could also be making stuff up.

If this is the best tablets ever: what do they call those plenty of tablets they have released every week? Nothing beats my Ipad Air. Samsung are trying to market it because their sales are diminishing. Apple Iphone My Second Religion

Can we please have a Surface Pro 3 type device with SAMOLED? I hate LCD because even the expensive MacBook Pro Retina have screen uniformity and backlight bleed issues along with the ugly grey as black.

amoled displays don't have infinite contrast (samsung never actually said it has infinite contrast) when the pixel is black is not completely switched off, there is a very small amount of light visible, although only a small fraction of an LCD, it can barely be seen with the eyes, you have to view in complete darkness and let your eyes to adjust, but is visible and also can be photographed (long exposure), so no 0lux black, no infinite contrast. Nevertheless the amoled displays are great, i will get this tablet as soon as it will become available in europe, just wanted to clarify this infinite contrast stuff

DaXiong, 24 Jun 2014Yeah it will win the competition for battery drain and burn-in.Smoking something, I mean about the battery life part? Can your LCD turn off separate pixels? Stupid!

But yeah, burn in issue is there, however that will affect people who plan to use the phone for more than two or two and a half years! Doesn't concern me at all.

Couldn't agree with you more. The Galaxy S4 wasnt really spectacular but the Note 3 was a beast . It's sad there is no prize category for phablets alone cos the Note 3 deserved some praise.

This is not a shocker! These type of reviews are to be expected when it comes to a Samsung device.
