For kids like you may be its the right choice... go ahead.
But one thing may be you are not aware of that, before iphone was launched even US presidents used to have BlackBerry mobiles !!

@To all who are ranting about the price. The Import price of the Handset itself is Rs.10,658 so how the hell BB gonna sell it for 10K or less than 10k. Considering the Indian duties/taxes and dealer/retailer margins and quality of the handset 50% up than Import price is a good deal. Go check samsung details. All the handsets that Samsung sells are double their Import prices.

kk, 25 Jun 2014BB sucks going to fail in india ....now choosing micromax BB is still one of the smartest business phones available. I have tried Android and it is shite. Apple have too many restrictions and pricey. My BB bold lasted me for 4 years without any problem and a battery change once. Bet any other maker can make a phone to last that long. BB operating system is extremely robust and secure far ahead of android and apple.

satty, 25 Jun 2014why in the world of quad cores they make dual core :(BB10 runs the UI perfectly smooth with a dual core, this is much better than the poor single-threaded performance of quad core Cortex A7.
However be warned people, BB10 has a very serious issue with privacy, probably the most severe software privacy violation you will ever find. BBM will forcibly log you in, permanently, and you cannot ever log out, you cant uninstall it or disable it, you cannot even go invisible, its practically as permanent as a tattoo in the face.
Im leaving BB because of BBM privacy violation, its a great OS but BlackBerry is shafting their already few customers too hard with BBM and they are not going to fix the issue, a new BBM version was just released and theres still no log out option, the next major OS update is available in leaked ROMs and theres still no option to uninstall or disable BBM. Stay clear of this company.

Don't be early adopter for any BB product. Playbook was launched at 30K & reduced to 14K within 6 months. Z30 was launched at 30K, then reduced to 24K & now available at 30K. Z10 was launched at 44K, then reduced to 30K & then to 18K. Z3 will follow the same fate. The price of Z3 will be reduced to 10K in 6 months & 6K a year later. Just wait & watch.

no actually the price in Indonesia now is about Rp2.499.000,00 (Equivalent to more or less USD220)and BB10 OS doesn't really need quad cores to run smoothly even when it's running Android Apps.
