Seriously? Only 1800MAH?
The 1440 in the I4 being that it was lithium polymer was excessively too small. Even back then it could have easily been 1600-1800.....
IF THAT WAS NOT BAD ENOUGH it barely increased over the years. It took til the 5s aka 7th iphone or 3 iphones later to increase about 100MAH....Pathetic.

The dated battery life of the iphone is very much felt and complained about by most users.....

Now we are on the 8th or 4 phones later and it is now only reaching 1800MAH??? While Androids are reaching 3200-4000MAH batteries.....Come one..

Just one of the endless reasons/lackings that make the iphone no more than an over priced scam.

Nothing unexpected. The only "advantage" Crapphone had is the smoothness. With Android 5 they'll lose even that. their hollow "premium" status will be the only thing left

siddhss, 07 Jul 2014apple is only symbol status.........not smartness...thank y... moreOh well, no one is forcing you to buy an Apple device, even tho i think you should try out both devices with the same specs for a month as i did - i had an iPhone 4S and also a Samsung S3 and i've got to admit that the bigger screen is way better than the one i had on the iPhone 4S BUT, a lot of times in a day my samsung used to die from nothing, and as an Apple user since 2008 i never had this kind of problem with one of the Apple devices till today. My point is, if you want to say that something is good or bad you should atleast try one of those things that you're talking about. Ps:. i broke the S3 cuz it was so laggy.

Heres the life cycle of an iphone (any iphone user can confirm this)

You buy your nice shiny, good looking and stupidly overpriced iphone on day of release.

                          You have one years warranty.

Everything works perfect for the first year.

                          They release an update.

Just after the update your warranty expires.

Right then your battery can't cope with the new OS.

Your phone develops a fault (wifi broke, mic broke, screen glitch, random reboot, etc)

You contact apple and are told "Sorry you're out of warranty we can't help we'll charge you"

You hear that a new apple device is being made.

You wait miserably for the rest of the year for this new and rumoured iphone to hit the shelves.

You are so unhappy with your present phone that you anxiously wait for it to be on sale regardless of the price.

You buy your nice shiny, good looking and stupidly overpriced iphone on day of release.

                          You have one years warranty......

Do you apple iphone users get it now?? You are being crapped on from a massive expensive and unforgiving height.

                          Android life cycle.

You buy a phone for whatever price you want.

                          You have two years warranty.

                          The end.

Grow a brain and see apple for what it is, a money spinner.

I'll give you an hint, it's not that much for people that actually use the phone as a smartphone.

Androids are beating Apple in this regard by leaps and bounds.

iPhone 5.5 inch is called iPad nano.

10 hours confirmed usage, 1mth standby.

Android make giant phones, with the excuse of good battery life. Now Apple with giant phone have even better battery life.

Android will be so afraid.. no choice but to make all phones 12 inches..

Whoever compares battery capacity between devices with different OS is stupid. Phone manufacturers compensate their shortcomings in battery consumption by putting bigger batteries inside their phones. There are exceptions that some phones do have huge battery and can last for days with light use.
Android is a highly customization OS, 3000 mAH might be enough for some, but still not enough for a lot of others.
Let me put it this way, anything that can run out will never be good enough. If 10 years later, we get 30000 mAh battery, it will still be not good enough, because someone will come out and say they need a 40000mAh battery.

A non biased user/editor knows how power efficient A7 chip & iOS is compared to Snapdragon & android. If current iPhones do fairly well with 1400mAh batteries, 1800mAh would obviously be much better. Expect the iPhone with 1800mAh battery to provide almost same usage time as a android with 2500mh battery.
