It still has yet to be tested. Gorilla glass is also flexible and it doesn't get scratched by knives and keys so saying others will copy it is completely stupid, if there's somebody who's copying who is Apple because they are copying Samsung with large displays.

I think this premium feel is just that, a feel.
Metal "feels" better as it is a better heat conducter
I am not really an Apple fan but I did the the virtually indestuctable sapphire coating video on youtube
Why is this good?
Well if others follow suit all that will be required to protect any phone is a thin snap on tortiose shell for side and back
All phones look cheap if scuffed marked in any way, use a phone without a cover and it will get marked PDQ
Prior to Apple sapphire coating I thought it was a gimmick when they announced it
Apple leads with Sapphire coating and no doubt other will (copy) follow

It's funny how can the Apple haters use to act when a new thing of Apple appears, they try to say that Apple is copying another company or they just forget about it's point and say things about it's price or it's durability or as a our friend said down here that, iPhone is for homossexuals. But what if Samsung or LG comes with the same thing? The Android fans be like "OMG BEST THING EVER LOLZ SHUTUP AND TAKE MY MONEY". I really don't know what is wrong with you people, if you dislike Apple things just don't buy it and go ahead and be happy with your device
