So true, they just need to stop with the UI customization and start to offer it as an option via Google Play as apps the user can install, instead of forcing them.

Finally, more and more OEMs are starting to understand that if they modify stock android they can only make it worse.

Might not be at the top, but Samsung will surely be looking over their shoulder, as ZTE attacks every market segment Samsung is in.

They have extremely poor distribution logistics and marketing, and me being a marketing guy they make my hate list (somewhere around the top). I've never seen anyone using a ZTE Nubia phone, and I've walked right past their HQ office building.

Android will never be as pathetic as Windows Mobile. That's the wonderful thing about Android, manufactures can choose to do what they want.

ZTE is making a very smart political move to gain Google's favour, since Google and Samsung are actually fighting at the moment.

That certainly takes ZTE off the list when buying phones, if one has to install 3rd party crap from Google Play to get something useable. Everything Google Now is the first thing i disable on any Android phone i am using, its lame, and i think ZTE and Google has made a deal here, ZTE must be getting something in return for this.

ZTE has long been among phones i recommend to other people, that stopped today.
