Gionee GN9005 photos leak, to claim slimmest smartphone title

The phone rocks a 4.8" 720p AMOLED screen, quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, and is allegedly just 5mm thick.

thinner phone with reduced performance hardware to fit. But sure it will look nice.

          well next iteration will be 'paper thin' with i can cut veggies.....
          i dont want a 0 size device in my hand....
          its a phone and make it the way that it feels that you are having a phone in your hand not a Razor BLADE.....

            we need slimness plus good features phone. not only slim phone it features need to improve

              Smile, 30 Jul 2014I think the slimmer the phone gets the more are the chances... moretrue for now, but that will soon change, once flexible screens become a reality, they are already here, but just need to be refined to tougher every day use, 12-18 months i guess and we will have full flexible phones on the market. lg flex was first to have a slight flex in its display so not to far away

                      I think the slimmer the phone gets the more are the chances of it cracking the screen by bending in the pocket, specially with the screen sizes we have these days ;)

                        This phone looks really slim. Kudos to Gionee for breaking their own record. My guess is the battery is non-removable. Slim phones don't fit my taste 'cause I don't feel as if I'm holding a phone. My N8 has perfect breadth for my taste.
