I personally think that the samsung's problem is not cheap plastic,Their problem is only the software .They add too much Bloatware and useless features That terribly slows down phones,example samsung galaxy s5 Now the lot of users complaining about Lags and bloatware (just look at Htc UI sense which is super fast and lag free even on snapdragon 200) Samsung should completely facelift of touchwiz and make it lag free(and put less bloaatware) and superfast updates(1-2 weeks after google launches new android even on midrange devices ) and Innovation If samsung does all three then they will make a Huge market share .

As mentioned in the article itself, the TV business is growing at the moment and if they bring good UHD TV's under the 1000 €uro price point there will be substantial renewal cycle. Besides Samsung could also launch a low cost brand that will sell at rock bottom prices via flash online sales. This is what the major airlines have done - they have launched their own low cost airlines.

...and I definitely have lost a lot of sleep over the lack of fingerprint sensor in my phone. That is making it completely useless. :-)

This is good news for consumers but not for fanboys. If Samsung is smart enough to learn from this, they should just cut cost on advertising and stop ridiculously overpricing their phones so much. Cheaper phones make happier customers since you just can't keep up with all of the models' updates. If not then, we'll be happy to see you get crushed by ASUS, Huwawei, and most of all Xiaomi. Brands like Samsung, Sony, LG, and HTC pattern their flagship prices with apple so that people will not think they're selling chep s*** but overpriced s***! News to you, people now adays especially the techie one's are not idiots to fall for those overpriced crap.

Some may say that ip4 was a big upgrade over 3GS due to Retina display but ip4 didnt significantly upgrade the performance, the display was the ONLY significant improvement.
Im no apple fanboy but i admire what they did with 5s, the first iPhone to really make a great impression. Its been nearly a year already and still the competition hasnt come up with any answer to touchid that isnt plain laughable, and still no competitor has outed a 64bit chipset.

Every week Xiaomi & Huawei is doing flash sales for Tens of thousand phone, these high spec yet low price cellphone is really killing Samsung mid range market, Samsung downfall is unavoidable, Samsung totally lost their sub USD 300 market.

this should be happen. due to recent all device not in the level we are expected than other competitive productions like Huawei etc. becouse that much slow when compairing device internal oparating speed with othe devices.
Samsung should be learn somthing from this.

Of course it failed. Specs on paper are measly just that...specs on paper. Samsung fails to realize that.
And that will be the reason for Samsung's demise in the high-end market.
On top of that, Apple's customer support is way ahead of Samsung. Sales, service, and quality.
You could say GS5 boasts better specs than Apple iPhone. But at any given day, the iPhone still trumps the S5 in high fashion.
