So now you're with the s5? Weren't you the people who hated on samsung bc of s5??? Plus who said 720hd screen isn't enough and the battery is not good? Have you tried it? This phone wasn't meant for s5 users to upgrade. Get out of here. This phone seems good,may be better thru experience and might not. How did samsung copy apple this time? If you've seen dummies, then that's not it. Apple copies provide mid range specs and sell it overpriced. Why is this phone not good? It might have better specs than the iphone 6. Noone hated on apple for the 8mp camera.. Or the same bore design throughout the years. From iphone 4 to 5s.. All the same..

115g only with 4.7 inch display. 720p is enough for phones with smaller than 6 inch displays. With this display size, power consumption will be over 30% less than 1080p. I like it.

Samsung are really losing their touch. I think this could have been an opportunity for them to develop an amazing piece of technology, but it seems average in everything. I'm not holding my breath when the reviews come in.

Good phone from Samsung I seriously doubt this phone (nice though it may be) will make any appreciable dent in the iPhone 6 sales figures.
Companies tend to do best against Apple when they offer credible alternatives to their products (hence the Galaxy S series) not when they try to emulate them.
This Alpha is Samsung's attempt to dress a Galaxy phone in an iPhone's clothing, personally I'd rather the removable battery, SD card slot and IP** rating over a fancy metal design.

Good stuff about alfa is:
1. It's not waterproof;
2. Decent screen size;
3. Decent screen resolution;
4. Good camera;
5. Nice shape and ok frame;
6. Good specs.
But all those things are ruined by pathetic battery... No buy. Battery is the most important factor.

Just like the first galaxy s. It resembled the iPhone 3g.

My Sony Xperia SP also has an aluminium moulded frame...yet it looks nice than a super expensive Samsung

Mr Grumpy, 13 Aug 2014LOL, a weedy 1,860mAh that is even less than an S4 mini plu... moreYou say all this only because you havent got a clue how much power can the device save running gfx cores a lot slower plus how much more efficient this new cpu, plus how less power does a 720p amoled screen need comparet to a 1080p. All in all - it will be just perfect. On the other hand with the smaller battery you achieve lighter phone. Dont forget that this device has to compete the iphone 6 directly. Hence its size, style, design, everything.

The phone looks nothing like an iPhone in fact it looks like a samsung phone with metal sides. Apple was not the only company that uses metal on their phones and I don't know that choice of materials used is copying. I really don't know what materials can be used for mas production and also cost effective than the ones currently used. Some of you need to get real seriously.. Lol
