Very good strategy - will be sold unlocked, so you don't have to go to a specific carrier to get one.

Why on earth would someone chose this over Moto g 4G!! It is more expensive and almost identical (except for the 4G) and not available yet.

AnonD-284342, 20 Aug 2014 Too expensive given the very low end SOC, a quad core A7 @... moreYour missing the point, this phone will appeal to many despite what you say are low end specs

Take recent phones the 4.7" 16Gb 8Mp phone arriving soon known as the iPhone6 will cost per leak $850,

The 4.7" 32Gb 12Mp phone aka the Galaxy Alpha clearly better and cheaper is $250 LESS @ $600

THE ZTE Nubia 5S Mini is $280 or €212.

The ZTE Nubia 5S Mini is NOT my phone but ZTE are here, my phone will as others will follow

The days if paying ever increasing prices for new phones is over, it should slow down stop and then reverse.

TheZTE Nubia 5S Mini COST ONE THIRD that if the iPhone6

AsI understand it this could be used as a BYOD Bring Your Own Device and @$280 had it been available I would have made a savaing

My preferred phone has nit been imported yet, but I be waiting at the dock

The phone in order to sell does nit have to be premium only that it is better and cheaper than what you are using now

This phone is like a year late...should have been released last year at least.

Too expensive given the very low end SOC, a quad core A7 @ 1.2 GHz just isn't worth $280, well not to me as I can get phones from China with 2.3 GHz Snapdragon ( A15 class ) CPUs for about $300.
They probably lack 4G though and of course you can forget the warranty unless you're prepared to ship them back but still, works for me.
