Man thats big 12MP!, i used to worry about camera size so much in the begining, when 2MP was around then 5MP came on the N95, i can understand why people want more, however im looking for the lens cause thats what does it.
EG i have N95 with 5MP, my sister has F480 samsung with 5MP, my n95 rips the camera quality of F480. And i bet Nokia n86 at 8MP will rip the 12MP SE and pixon12 cameras also cause the lens (carl ziess) come on nokia your turn, i know LG is making its 12MP shnider lens.

peole u compare only camera's megapixel and do not see other features now this phone has only 150 mb storage while nokia N97 has 32 gb (no comment) and the UI and the app. bla bla bla ...
overall each company has its success

was really torn between n82s xenon, omnia hds hd video recording, n86s wide angle and variable apartures , and satios woomph under the hood. but now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

12 mp is a waste,people will be paying way over the top for resolutions which will make difference than 5 or 6 megapixels. All my photo's taken with a 5 mega phone or my 8 mega camera have to be sized down for facebook or even printing so 12 is stupid. As lg recently stated lets not talk about increasing megapixel count lets start talking about optical zooms next on phones.

Super great ! With so many new phones from Samsung i can not follow the race, just happy now with my Pixon. Too bad only the same small 1000 mAh battery and no HD video recording.
Definitely will be my new phone.

The other man... moreYeah I agree with most of you on that; about SE releasing the Satio late, though you have to admit that their software is far superior to Samsungs. I'm hoping that Samsung will also announce another 12 megapixel phone that won't be a touchscreen phone, I think they're overkilling it with the amount of touchscreen phones they're announcing.

Poor sony ericsson...again!! I cant believe! What they think? From june to november-december its 5 mounths! I think satio is bether than this but...who cares? Who will waith satio half year more! Those 2-3 mounths i am sure lg will relase 12 mpx phone! And...nokia ugh...hard to believe! Maybe next year!

The idou is taking far too long to come out. The other manufacturers get hold of an idea and produce great phones within months, the idou has been talked about for a year by the time it comes out and will probably be full of bugs, same as the k850, c905 etc.

It was obvious from the beginning that Idou would be robbed of its potential buyers before its release by other manufacturers. When Idou at last comes out in December Nokia, LG, and Samsung will be dominating 12MP cameraphone market.

this looks good...12 megapixel, and xenon flash and wide-angle lens and samsung expertise should make for a very good camera...i bet it'll be very expensive to start

Wooow!! This is perfect phone for those people who don`t need a smartphone but an excellent phone with fantastic image capabilities!
Jesus... Nokia is soooooo far down...!! They will never catch up!
I was thinking to buy the pixon because I liked that it is simple phone but with excellent camera but I was turned off becouse of the missing WiFi. But now, I will buy it!
Excellent product! Well done Samsung!
