How is this relevant in real life? The phone gets super hot at that speed. It also drains battery life almost instantly. So what if it can do 50k score? I would rather have a phone that can outlast other phone.

i see they are using antutu v5 beta 1.. they scores that come out of v5 are all raised. my nexus 5 gets 48000 at stock speed without modification. run the tests on the released version, v4, for real/accurate results.

So, it's a chip based on 'mid-range' Cortex-17 architecture, and it kicks ass of every other competitor? Interesting!

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2014chinese phone? No thanksWhy not? if your worried about chinas reputation of making 'dodgy' phones don't worry.

Meizu, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo BBK, OnePlus make flagships that can stand up to Apple and HTC, the current design freaks (appereance wise).

                they don't clone phones either.

two manufacters do this in China.
                Goophone, Orientphone.

uhm... if you check the antutu scores of any quad core bay trail chinese tablet with a 2048x1536 resolution it's around 30.000 at 1.3ghz , so imagine a refence device @1280x720 that was the trend then, actually built by intel and not some shady factory in taiwan where they assemble stuff in normal rooms and naked hands or some abused 12year old then yes, 40.000+ was very likely.. so is 50.000+ with the new gen cpus

Isn't this done on Antutu v5, which shows higher numbers than v4 in general?

Many higher-end phones will show similar results in Antutu v5.

GSMArena should really check these things out better....

                              Antutu is untrusted anyway.
Its CPU benchmark just depends on Freq and No. of Cores, but does not reflect the real world performance.
That's why the s****y Octa A7 could get a score as high as Snapdragon 600.

That's antutu v5. Every phone does about +10000 score compared to v4. So 42000 it is (in v4 terms), still impressive but not as much as implied by the title.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2014Note 4 killer for half price.!!!!! Stop repeating the same sh*t! They said that this is the mid-range version. The high-end is said to have an Exynos Octa from Samsung. I assume the high-end should be even better. If that version will use Note4 processor, how could you say that it is beaten? Also, how do you know the official price of both phones, so you could conclude is half the price? Do you work at Meizu or what?
