This is what the problem is with Chinese phones. Bugs, bugs and bugs and a little guarantee that those bugs will get fixed. I appreciate OPO's efforts to iron out the bugs.

I have the phone from mid July and I had to rebutted only 3 times: 2 when it was updated and 1 when I tried to use ART. Never had any of mentioned issues No yellowish bottom screen, NO battery derange (it runs for 24h - normal use), NO touchscreen problems. I have about 250 apps installed and it works without puffing. I find myself using it more than my Nexus 7 (which is a great tablet). I do agree that it must've have some units with problems, but the most of the lucky owners are happy to have it. The statement of GSM Arena is a bit strong and unfair, but it is their opinion...

I think many people dislike OPO simply because of the fact that they know its better or just as good as their "premium" devices for which they paid double the amount the OPO costs. Its like driving a Ferarri and a Golf GTi kick your a$$ so to speak

I don't think the author of this article has even tried a OnePlus One."You get what you pay for"? Really? Just so you know the software in question that caused the issue isn't some OnePlus low budget creation. The phone uses Cyanogenmod 11S. They are well know for their fast work and updates. It's a great device at any price.

that's the problem with CM, you will never get something working perfectly.

jane, 22 Aug 2014Oneplus one is crap phone:-(. I have to sell it on eBay now... moreMany people had problems with the Z2 and the audio quality, some people had their phone replaced THREE times but people still couldn't hear what they said when talking on the phone.

Some Sony fanb**s think the problem is fixed since if you disable the dual-mic noise cancelling (which is an essential feature for all phones costing more than $100) you "only" end up with subpar audio quality...

OnePlus One may not be the perfect phone but just paying twice as much will solve nothing.

I went from Nexus 5 to OnePlus One. I'm currently totally regretful.
Never buy this phone. It has a lot of problems related to the screen and the software, the worst thing is their customer service, which is Extremely extremely bad. Once I had a problem with signal strength in my Nexus5, Google immediately sent me a new one. BUT, I had humiliating times with the customer service of OnePlus. They ignored my messages repeatedly, and finally asked me to send the phone in order to fix it. It took one month to bring it back .. Again it has new problems. I will sell it one eBay .. Damn .. Very dissatisfied.. Very bad company

high price doesn't mean always high product or low price low product.
Give them a break, after all they are new company with new strategy and philosophy.

It's true, you do get what you pay for. That is: you get a very, very good phone for a very low comparative price. Regardless of the dubious company it is worth at least worth the price if not more.

When you have to pray to get a good unit, something isn't right. I had to return my unit, and the support ticket lasted over a month, do you think people have time to waste with a return ticket? One month without a phone for a worker is an eternity. Not to mention that you have to send the phone in CHINA, do you understand the time it takes to reach china and come back? And the shipping cost!. You have to get lucky to get a good unit and the support is well below average. Even good units got an untested and filled with bugs OS. Considering any other flagship is just 100-150 euro away, yes you can really say that those money are for those other things Oneplus One now just doesn't have, so yes you get what you paid for, and if you want support, stability, you have to pay an extra.
