By its very nature, it is impossible for iOS to be as fragmented as Android.

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2014Hardware fragmentation on Android is bad. Many Android devi... moreLol. Meanwhile there are all different kinds of windows phone hardware too. And through different os evolutions have left plenty of phones behind.

Ios has updated more phones but when the 5s/5c came one year after the 5 they discontinued the 5.
Obviously just to make more profit off the 5C.
The 5 was then also the only older iphone top get the full ios7. Even the 4s couldn't get it. IE some things as far as even some simple camera features.

And even though ios is supposedly so simple due to its restrictions/lack of features and functions and only having to work for iPhone which all together is supposed to make it "perfect". No lags and no crashes and not so many update bugs......
They have the most app crashes by a huge margin. Most of them lag a lot. And they are still working on squashing some of those bugs from an enormous amount of them that were presented almost a year ago now.
Almost every ios update is like that.
                                      It defeats the whole claim....

And they discontinued the one that was claimed to be the most stable when it was one year old....pathetic.

So have "options" in Android is actually working pretty well for it.

Hardware fragmentation on Android is bad. Many Android devices don't get software updates. Android doesn't have a program like Preview for Developers like Windows Phone where people can Official OS updates for free. iOS devices get stream of OS updates too.
