Actually its a good phone. But coming at a wrong time with slightly wrong specs and most probably unnecessary high price. Competition is too high in this category. Heart rate scanner is useless, so is fingerprint scanner. So if one considers what competition is providing in India, the price should be 300$ tops. That's the price Galaxy s4 mini is available for. Similarly specced Moto G is at 165$ and Redme 1s is at 100$. That's insane pricing. Sorry S5 mini, you'r destined to fail.

But will they price it correctly? For what is offers, S5 mini has internals (CPU, GPU, Camera, screen resolution) similar to grand 2 with lesser size. So it should not be priced more than 18K INR, similar to S4 mini's current price in flipkart. Will samsung be sensible enough?
I could very well imagine samsung pricing it around 25K INR and then see very little sales for 3 months and then reduce it to 18K after 3 months. By then, people would have forgotten and moved on from this model. Samsung will wonder why micromax and other local players are taking away their sales.

What a shame Samsung u have thousands of retailer shops in india , then why are you doing online sellin ?? Anyway In flipkart Nobody Looking up to you all guys are looking for Super Specs at a budjet Price , unfortunatly u dont have any device :-)

Is this step taken by Samsung to price this phone competitively, by negating the middle-men, and selling directly on flipkart, just like Motorola and Xiaomi did?

It's probably greater than 25k, and samsung will make a fool out of itself again. And this will only lead to added interest for the mi3. Plus the s5 mini processor is snapdragon 400, what a shame.

Price wise Snapdeal is better than flipkart. They should have had it on both sites. Anyway this is good for Samsung...... if they price it right

Bad idea to make it flipcart exclusive - Server broke down while xaimoi m3 was launched ... and they did not have enough numbers to sell..... media hype yes - customer dissatisfaction very high,

onlline store is worst, you cannot feel the project and quality, only people who are cost consious will buy from online stores. Bad decision by samsung. my suggestion is to push only outdated models to online stores.

Hopes flipkart set it's price marginally low like moto g, mi3 as they cutting all long chain.. It will be blockbuster sale for samsung in india as equal as moto g & other exclusive cellphones on flipkart.. happy mahavir jayanti..
