I wonder how the battery life is gonna be like, not that the Z2 wasn't good or anything :/
What about the 4K recording problem... the camera better be even better than the S5

Snapdragon 805 - No! Higher res screen - No! Identical hard ware to Z2- Yes.
Perhaps the only real difference is slightly slimmer bezels. If z4 doesn't have latest tech next year then Sony could be in trouble.

z ultra is the best smartphone ever made by sony and i think thei should update it with a new cpu and a new gpu also and i am shure that it would be the best smartphone out there

Dual SIM???
Check the source, from the photos it looks more like this is a dual SIM variation of Z2 and not really a Z3 (it may be called Z3 still).
Either way its sad that Sony is so blinded by stupid trends of superslim phones and sacrificing battery capacity. But... Dual SIM phone is out of the question either way, thats for my $12 Chinese backup unit.

So most people dont care if it slightly differs from Z2.... But I'll bet ya it will push the Z2 price down/sales up when it comes out

what is silly is sony's naming convention, tick tock updates should be represented in the model number/naming convention, most obvious one is iphone,
they didn't call the playstation 1 - 3000 series - ps2, 5000 series - ps3, or psone schp100 - ps5, why do this on phones
at this rate, we will get to z8 by 2017, while iphone will be on 7, Samsung will be s8, lg on g6, and so on

I want to feel more excited about this phone but design tweaks alone wont cut it... Sony is always lazy with throwing in latest tech... Snap 805 and a QHD screen really would have not hurt especially since they will charge you for the phone as if it has those features.
Guess the spotlight will unfortunately be for Note 4...

I believe Sony has packed sth extra in this. Maybe OIS, or dual sim, better amplifiers, better stamina, camera modes....I do not like the design though, but believe Sony wil surprise us positively with Z3. A couple of days to go....

part from what all you know, Z3 will be dual active sim, with wifi stand alone functionality. means it can be a hot spot while using its own wifi. It will be the first.

This is a dual sim variant headed for the Chinese market. The standard version will keep the 3200mAh battery and introduce wireless charging and make that the norm over the Z3 series including the SW3.

I believe that sony is trying to lower their cost, the construction has simplified from z1 ( which was famous for gaps), the z2, and new one z3 which is simplest and least complex, while achieving slightly more space for bigger battery and screen
the have been doing this for years on TV's, ps3/ps2, psp and ps vita and cameras with minor revisions

Why people around here make dumb questions?
You read only one sentence or look only on few digits and think you got a whole story.
Pseydo fanboys and kids. Will your life will significally change if Sony's newest flagship ain't gonna have the newest chipset and all the "cool" things like S5 or other cheap koreanian have? Will your friends ain't gonna talk to you anymore because of that? Question yourself, will you ever gonna use all those features? Probably only just to test and then forget about them and wait what's gonna be new again. If you are sportsman, you'll use dedicated hrm etc. If you want to take photos, you'll buy good camera. Other phone has better camera? In real life, you aint gonna see big difference. And probably aint gonna think about when taking pictures of best moments in your life.
This is a premium handset what focuses on different people not 14-16 year old boys who are spending parents money.
People, please think, will you ever gonna use any of new or even two year old flagships potential?
For me, I'm waiting for Compact version. For me it should have improved things like stereo speakers and better battery.
Enjoy your life and don't sit here making thoughtles comments. :)

The 6 months flagship-upgrade cycle is for wooing potential customers from other brands to Sony. It doesn't make sense if you already own a previous flagship (the Z2 in this case), and is more in line for those looking to upgrade from the 2012-2013 flagships. So everybody, please stop hating, and look at alternatives if this doesn't interest you.
