IUNI has had their U2 phone out for some time now and it has a Snapdragon 800, 4.7" 1080 screen, 16MP camera, 32gb memory and 3GB of ram for $275 USD (1699 RMB). No LTE, though.

Awesome, this smartphone is better by far than the iPhone 6.

AnonD-278857, 27 Aug 2014Baby Please come to India.... IUNI is a domestic Chinese manufacturer and the chance of this phone (or any of their other phones) going international is *extremely* unlikely. Best to just forget it.

Blame GSMArena for getting your hopes up.

So, without big announcements like OnePlusOne here comes this monster. Best specs maybe in the whole industry? For sure better than Note 3, G3, Z2 etc. They even made a joke and took HTC's 4 Ultrapixel camera for front snapper. Also, excellent design, miles better than Samsung for example. All that for half the price of regular high end smartphone. Amazing and also a reminder to how all other companier are greedy because they can made all their products for half the price.

The specs and price are comparable to that of the OnePlus One.

This is what so many have long feared in the mobile world: commoditization as has happened in PCs, TVs and so many other industries. The brand matters less and less as small, unknown players offer specs that line ball the big players (or better), at prices that kill off everyone's margins.

I see this: Apple will lose overall smartphone market share...but increase its overall take of total industry profitability.
