I would much rather ask someone in an actual store of any network than ask incompetent miss selling staff in p4u

Happened to the wrong company! Staff are far better than carphone warehouse staff. Hope they don't lose their jobs. One bonus could be a possible firesale!

Hi to all I don't think most people actually understand what's going with P4U gone it means people will be paying more and like terms and agreements will change because there will be no competition on the market I also believe CPW will follow in 2-3 years as the network company's will not need them.
To the people who have slaged of P4U you ask yourself one question at this moment your saying all this about this company what will you be say when EE, 3, Vodafone, 02 basically tell that's the deal like it or don't or going into a store and ask a question about a phone and some just not treating you with respect what are you gone say then. There people who have lost jobs and may not be getting paid..

I would like to start by saying that sales business can sometimes have unhappy customers and that is the truth however on the other hand there are millions of customers who have saved huge amounts of money by choosing P4U and have been coming back to upgrade for years, sadly good news is never a popular news. So all these people on here trying to portray a business as a complete con is very unfair. It has been devastating for the employees including myself who have been forced out of work. For the knowledge of some, vodafone already did pull out once from phones4U few years back only to crawl back after 8 months realizing that they are loosing business at a large scale. I have been with the company just over a year and a bit however i can categorically say that I have never been part of the sales business in my ten years being in this field, who valued customers as much as this company. I have proof of 100's of written commendations our store have received from the customers in my stay, who we have helped. Some people just need to be a little bit more sensitive before writing such comments.
Best of luck to all these unhappy ones who will now be dealing directly with these networks and I shall see how many will pay no upfront cost for handsets they so dearly want on launch dates, not to forget all those who we helped pay their early upgrade fees so they can have the handsets of their dreams 6 months before their normal upgrade due dates. Thumps up to those who genuinely felt for people who lost their jobs.
Sad day for such a brilliant technology of smart phones, retail sector and families of those 6000 and more who have been forced out of work so these multi million pound giants can have even more larger bank balances.

Losing jobs is not happiness. All phone and broadband company are very greedy in U.K. and do not offer alternative to customers, for example paying for line broadband rental is an invention to take more money from customers, in many countries something like this do not exist because companies have their own optical fiber networks.

Those that over promise and under deliver and the others, that under promise and over deliver. I don't think it takes Albert Einstein to work out which type survives longer and does better in the long run.

Well that is what happens when you make promises you can't keep. Even CARPHONE Warehouse years ago when asked to guarantee x amount of sales to Vodafone in order to secure the contract (Push Vodafone harder at customers) refused to. They didn't sell Vodafone for a year or two because of it from what I recall. P4U on the other hand were pushing Vodafone like anything.
Of course when companies open up their own stores it will hurt P4U/Carphone warehouse.

Whenever I take out a contract with any one other than my chosen network directly, I ring up the network and confirm the details they have are what I was sold by the third party.

Personally I found P4U dearer than going direct most times. The final thing that stopped me using them completely was when a salesman proudly boasted they were not going to do 12 or 18 months contracts any more. I thus went to Vodafone direct and am now on my second 12 month contract with them directly. The best part was when I was told they had to make money. They went very quiet when I pointed out both Vodafone directly and Carphone Warehouse were doing them. So their greed cost them in my case. Obviosuly not every case is the same but they lost at least two sales and I cannot be the only person to experience such like from them.

Rude, impolite, fraudulent on so many levels and I have 1st hand experience in this situ with p4u. Long time coming they just wouldnt change.

I was sold a contract from P4U through "Orange" for £11.99 a month with a Nokia Lumia 520. With telling me I have an Under 24 plan which gives me an extra 1GB of data, and my past three bills have been £50+ and so whenever I ring Orange to complain, they say that this doesn't appear on my phone plan! So I think that P4U should pay back every penny they have pretty much stolen off everyone!
