What is it with all these people talking about sapphire? Theres no sapphire glass here.
By the way, "ion-strengthened glass" seems to be a new popular term around here, but in fact it is just a departure from calling it Gorilla Glass as both Gorilla and Dragon Trail are ion-strengthened. Calling it ion-strengthened is in reality the same as Sony been doing all the time by calling it tempered glass instead of referring to an actual product name.

I've dropped ~10 phones (the number I've had) dozens and dozens of times on pavements, roads and tiled floors. Never once have I had screen damage, and only on one of those did I use a case (supplied very thin rubber case on Nokia N9). Yet I've witnessed the smashing of so many iPhones, or seen the after-effects of dropping ... I have to believe it's designed in vulnerability, so that Apple can profit from the cackhandedness of their users.

people suggest the android authority tests are rigged
Apple paid them perhaps
the 6 plus face down test clearly shows the screen popped out.

So much for the indestructible sapphire glass hype. Also, the display is so dark it's useless outdoors.

AnonD-12498, 19 Sep 2014Drop test , From Android Authority https://www.youtube.c... moreSeriously, you need a better phone display or use glasses, that phone works, maybe you're not noticing it bcoz iphone 6 and 6plus had a very bad screen display in outdoors. So it seems you need to buy the one with amoled technology instead of buying iphone 6 or 6plus. :)))

Sapphire is much, much harder than any type of glass, but that means it is also more brittle. Hard to scratch, easy to crank.

If you want to buy it don't drop it! Not even once. Poorest resistance ever seen on a phone the drops were done from a very low height

My XperiaZ1 has survived 12-14 drops from all angles possible, max height it dropped from is 7 feet, and not even a screen crack or scratch, just small dents on the metal :):):)
