With Google rolling out Android One in India its absolute suicide to release an entry level Tizen device there.
Actually its suicide to release a Tizen device anywhere. If they want to give Tizen a chance they would release a dual boot Android-Tizen device so when Tizen fails (which it will) users can fall back on Android.

Better to buy Android One phones with 1 GB RAM, lots of apps, pure Android which means no lag and 2 years guaranteed updates. Why buy a 256 MB RAM phone at the same price for a 1 GB Android?
Tizen is another Bada in the making. It's just a copy of Android with the ugliest user interface.

The task switcher GUI with end button next to each app in tizen makes me throw up....guys, don't you have any creativity? have a look at jolla... the screen is utilized to the maximum extent for the app with no menus or icons..... all gestures and pull down menus......

It already has serious competition form android one handsets, redmi 1s & moto e if priced 6k or above. & there is intex cloud fx (Firefox OS) priced at 2k if it is priced around that

I was one of the earlier adoptors of bada os. Knowing how they ditched their bada customers, I would never try tizen. I strongly believe the shelf life of tizen not more than 2 years with little developer support. It gathered lot of consumer support when it used to provide value for money products. Now there is not even a single vfm product from them. It's a sinking ship.
