And that's not good strategy in the long run. Apple/HTC do this way better. HTC is clearly the only real premium brand in the android space.

Whilst I suspect the screen is absolutely top notch, I think the Sony Z3 Compact beats the GA hands down, otherwise. Battery and looks wise there's not even any competition ... and it cost £150 less in the UK! Most retailers carrying the Z3C in the UK have it top of the sales charts (miles above iphone 6 preorders, galaxy alpha or note 4).

I'm more inclined to buy this than an S5. Size/specs/affordability all suggest a solid fit for me.
That said, I might actually choose a Lumia 830 over this if they are priced comparably---and this mainly due to the L830 having expandable memory.

waaaayy too late, also why is this being released 1 month after the announcement? It's also being released after iphone6 launched their phones. this is just an all out timing fail by samsung. It's so wrong in every way.
customer waits 24 days for its availability.
IPhone6. customer waits 1 week for its availability.
