Rumors suggest Sony will release Xperia Z3 Ultra 6.4" display high performance phablet to compete with iPhone 6Plus, Galaxy Note 4 and Nexus 6.
The main features are:
1) Display resolution 565 ppi pixel density
2) Primary Camera 21MP
3) Secondary Camera 5 MP, 1080p@30fps
4) Snapdragon 805 with 4GB RAM
5) Battery 3500 mAh battery
6) Micro SD up to 128 GB

Samsung will hit every as much network providers as possible promoting their phones, (making them buy them in bulk) to a point were the providers themselves will madly promote eg (galaxy s5, 2 year contract). not only that, they actually even do a better job then apple as apple has yet to reach any of our smaller providers.
meanwhile companies who actually make good phones such as asus and sony, are nowhere to be seen. Its there, but not as popular as samsungs.

Thousands of Xperia promoters has been dismissed across Asia and as we now know these promoter campaigns failed to sell any Xperia midrange devices, the model lineup in lower and midrange is so poor and unbalanced, in fact it makes little sense at all, the campaigns were doomed to fail.
(nb, im not talking about any Sony employees being fired, these promotoers never work for the company directly but for local promoter/marketing agencies hired by the companies. I also happen to know that many of the ex-Xperia promoters has been reassigned to Chinese smartphone brands who want to strengthen their brand name outside of China)

By the way, it probably wasnt covered on this site but Z3/Z3c had an Asian event as well, some days after the IFA event. It was only partially covered but east Asian branches/partners of Sony marketing were not allowed to publish news from the IFA event, they had to wait for the Asian event.

Sickly, 26 Sep 2014Get it to all carriers Sony! The z3 and z3 compact, as of ... moreios user here and I agree with you. I get first hand oppurntity to sample a lot of these phones do to my work. I am personally most impressed with Sony's smartphones over it's competition due to quality build and display.
but Sony needs to do a better job marketing their product in order to get their phone out there. otherwise they will get destroyed by Samsung who are aggressive marketers.
