iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales kicks off in China on October 17

It's official: Apple will launch the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in China on Friday, October 17.

I wouldnt under estimate Chinas financial growth and buying power in private economy, for lots of Chinese $1000 isnt so much anymore, and you have to admit that a Xiaomi is not exactly a desirable device for people with money. Im not saying that the farmers/fishermans daughter in the far provinces are going to buy an iPhone 6 but if Hong Kong is an indication of things to come to mainland then i wouldnt rule it out in the next few years.

      I added the $ exchange rate (@30/09/2014) as I have remember some phone in dollar prices

      I saw the video of iPhones bought in the US after queuing being immediately sold to export to China with a huge mark-up

      I am curious as Apple position in China is slipping

      A 16 GB Xiaomi Mi4 cost $400.00 so under half that of the basic iPhone6

      With the launch now confirmed were the iphone6 sales a minority or will there be a will China just get iPhones irrespective of the high price

      I don't think that Apple will break any sales record in China or the Far East due to the price differential
