AnonD-286832, 01 Oct 2014Ok, everyone only thinks about bezels.. Ever thought about ... moreI completely agree with you. I love this phone.

I have M8 and want to buy one more for my wife. I am waiting for M8 eye and wish the camera should be excellent. I hate any 5.5" inch screen. 5 inch is absolutely perfect for me.

I hope this proposed 13MP camera is of high quality that has a decent micron size to its sensor. we want higher detail but at the same time, a higher quality of image. if not 13MP, 8 or 9 with superb color accuracy, contrast and low light performance is better than a 13MP shooter that only performs well during the day.

Ok, everyone only thinks about bezels.. Ever thought about no (or to thin) frame/border makes it really hard to manipulate the phone one-handet without touching anything unintended?

Ergonomics is not only maximise the body to display ratio...

Its about designing a device, that feels just right no matter how you touch / hold it.

Also, lets assume, the bezels can't get smaller without the stereo speakers removed. Would you prefer that over the actual design / features? Cause I think, also this makes it harder to keep the frame thin.

I also thought HTCs decisions are not always wise, but on a strange way I think different these days...

Just my 5 cent, keep it if you like it.

Noel, 01 Oct 2014Logo bar still present and same battery...hmmmm i wasn't ex... moreThe HTC One M8 is close to perfect. I can get three days out of mine, so I don't know what you are expecting with the battery.

As someone who doesn't take photos of my food, or every moment of my life it's the best phone I've ever had.

Logo bar still present and same battery...hmmmm i wasn't expecting to see that? Well wake me up when they have a real minimal bezel top n bottom One M9 with a 3200+mAh battery. My love for u HTC is still there but the buying is on hold...been waiting too damn long for that device.
I mean HTC has all the ingredients to pull out that perfect device...they are holding themselves back by not doing away with a few things that their fans want corrected. In my view a few of these changes fans are clamouring for will make for a better HTC One device...let's hope the One M9 will be that perfect device.

Its the same looking crap. They call Samsung samesong but sony and htc have this one design just part 1 than 2 and so on with just better specs in same body. This soo booring sammy phones are quite different than the first one.

i see many people complaining about the thick bezels, heck even i was one to do so before i used the phone. I got the m8 last week and trust me the elegance of the phone will make you forget those ugly bezels. The phone is just an awesome piece of gadget, and you need to use it for a few days to understand the technology behind the bezels and the htc logo on the front!! Im totally in love with this phone.

Anonymous, 01 Oct 2014Did you actually ever own an htc flagship? You would have a... moreHe is right. Htc should immediately redesign all their phones especially the dual speaker phones. They have large bezel at the bottom than at the top which makes the screen move to one side and away from the center of the phone, since the first htc one. Now there are no capacitive keys. Still they are wasting that space at the bottom this is an eye sore. When the onscreen keys light up the viewable area move further away from the center of the phone. Htc should learn from motorola how they have fitted dual speakers on their new moto g. The screen of moto g is exactly in the center with equal sized minimum area bezels at the top and bottom of the phone. It even took a long time for htc to change the usb/charging port from the side,to the bottom of the phone. Still the the port is fitted to one side in phones like htc one, m8, e8 etc. I have been waiting for a dual speaker phone with the screen fixed exactly in the center and minimal bezel at the top and bottom phone and charging port at the bottom center. When is htc going to do do this?

Could have been released with a bigger screen, 5.2" at least. 5" is a bit too small for comfortable typing on my fingers.

A little underwhelming but might be my next phone if the optics are good nonetheless.

801 Snapdragon and probably 2GB of RAM as usual. No wonder HTC is falling behind in sales. They are stingy as usual over at HTC in Taiwan. Why can't they put a proper camera in the front and back along with some more RAM (3GB at least) and World Band LTE Bands.

Finally update on HTC M8. HTC E8 is also good phone but why theyneeded so long time to decide to improve the camera. Better ever than never. Now I have bought OnePlus One and I am to satisfied so to HTC my message is...see you for few years. :-)
