Now with Android L (64-bit), many companies release it 14-18"inches 4K tablets and chroombooks, but for much better everyone wait Samsung do it new 14"inches tablet with this basic specs:
1.Display.- 14"inches QHD+ - IGZO + OLED screen - CGG 3 - 320~ppi
2.Memory.- 4-6 GB RAM
3.Chipset.- (64-bit)
4.OS.- Android L
Mama mia I wait with big pleasure to see this amazing monster tablet

cuzziebro, 11 Oct 2014too bad Google's showcase phone the nexus 6 won't even have... moreSilver = GPE = dead in the water, last I checked Google already canned that indefinitely it's just not worth the PITA for them to line the OEMs up. The last Play phone was the Z Ultra/togari see the problem in that pattern? What happened to the rest of the following more recent top models from all other Android OEMs? That's the problem.
Right now I think with the nex6/x/shamu Google thought that it's an acceptable compromise (well for them at least..) to start late with the phone and pass the L aarch64 dev kickstart to nex9/volantis/flounder instead, along with this x86-64 emu. Keep in mind that they don't have to put the Nexus user base whether we like it or not as a top priority because Nexus has never been Google's de facto mobile devices' play = they never needed the money from selling phones or tabs, if this was really the case they would have kept Moto easy.
I've said this before; with Android One that means L or M 32 bit is gonna stay for a bit throughout next year and the next due to its upd guarantee by Google themselves so that no one is losing out on anything.
Personally I'm not too worried about this, it's not a race and definitely not worth the rush to catch up to Apple's iOS where all they can crow about right now are their 64 bit GAMES and not much else. If anything this emu image proves that we got a bigger fish to fry in the Android pan better late than never.

why people ask for ram for 64bit ? 64bit is for instructions optimization, not only the ram.

SuperUser, 11 Oct 201432bit only support 4GB of RAM while 64bit support a massive... moreNot really when you have more then 3.5GB the remaining will be used used as a buffer for the GPU Memory so with 4GB ram and a 256MB graphics card memory 256MB Ram will be reserved for the graphics just like it does with x86 windows leaving it with 3.75GB.

too bad Google's showcase phone the nexus 6 won't even have 64bit chip inside! it's because Qualcomm are too slow at releasing the snapdragon 810. unless nexus 6 will infact use samsungs exynos 64bit chip that's already on the market now. always we will have to wait for next year's nexus phone for snapdragon 810 chip or if Google are switching to silver.
