GSMArena is an excellent website, but it isn't perfect:

This is a worldwide global website, which means that there are reviewers from around the world contributing.

If a reviewer is asking a question then must make it perfectly clear, which country, and model number information is required about.

If answering a question must know, which country and model replying to.

Motorola it appears have; actually, and literally consistently misled people. For example I am in the UK when I eventually went on to the Motorola UK Official Forum website for the Moto G (2nd Gen.), 2014, XT1068 section to find out (before Amazon UK launched Moto G 4G (2nd Gen.) 2015, XT1072 in March 2015) if or when Lollipop 5 was available. Too many Motorola UK staff had consistently told me that it was; available and others it wasn't available. I was socked and surprised to find out at least 73 pages of consumers since about the 6th September 2014 were being misled. To make things worst that the official person managing the website admitted deleted messages, because people were complaining more than once. I asked Motorola UK on numerous occasions why should it take so long because I thought that it was only India and Brazil, which had Lollipop (but within the last few days seen proof on YouTube that the USA had it in 2014) it shouldn't take that long to translate from India and Brazilian language to English? I was then told that the phones had different components, which I don't believe could have caused that long delay. computer programmes are written using subroutines. Subroutines would be the equivalent if you go into a store what sells different things; If I want a shirt I go to the Shirt Department if I want a smartphone go to the Smartphone Department and if I want a TV go to obviously go to the Television Department etcetera. Motorola has also in the UK claimed that Moto G refers to Moto G (1st Gen.) 2013 but then Motorola even on their website was calling Moto G (2nd Gen.) 2014, XT1068 Moto G. Too many Network companies were actually impying that consumers were buying XT1068, but they appear to be selling off the old XT1032 (1st version G) before stocking the XT1068. To shorten a long explanation there was a debate in the UK on this, as well as other websites, about especially 2 things; will the XT1072 come with 2 SIMs slot or 1 SIM slot and also will it come with 16GB (12GB User Memory) or 8GB (4GB User Memory).

I could give numerous other examples, but this article is also confusing people by implying that for example all XT1068 and XT1072 phones have the same functions where ever they are sold in the world: Wikipedia looks at things from the USA point of view, as this website, and don't take into account when UK actually get Lollipop and what features we actually get. Motorola would eventually claim a few people on the Soak Rest had Lollipop 5, despite that thousands didn't get it until about the 21st March from Amazon UK.

Therefore, GSMArena and reviewers should state, which part/model number and, which country they are talking about to reduce confusion: GSMArena relied on information from Amazon UK who despite that I have consistently told them still have searches for Moto G 4G 16GB (2015), XT1072 phones, which don't actually exist so refer people to the 8GB version. The ironical thing is based on my proof they got a supplier who claimed before the launch that they actually had 26GB in stock and was charging about £10 more (£159.99) to supply an apology.

Not sure we will get update or not.. if anyone get any news or update for this device then do let me know.
Else seems I have no choice to update via bootloader which is bit riskier than OTG update.

Prashant, 29 Oct 2014We hope they give us update for XT1033 indian dual sim phone.Motorola’s Moto G is among the first devices that are eligible to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, according to an official listing, along with other Motorola devices like the Moto X 2nd gen, DROID Turbo, Moto X 1st gen, Moto G 1st gen, and so forth. The update will through the OTA route to your device, so you should keep an eye on your notification bar, and free up some memory in anticipation.

Motorola has mentioned that moto g 1st gen will get Lollipop update. But not specified if all the models of moto g 1st gen will get the update.
