vikkygame, 20 Oct 2014but.. where is samsung..buddy u can ask that again! where the buck are they? seriously ? like one model of the damn s4? what about our devices huh? like I'm speechless now. sammy sucks big time like BUCK 'EM HARD MAN!!! we bought thier unreasonably pricy isht and now this? i realy need to meet the guy in charge of thier FOTA roll out management, then he will make sure to never EVER leave us out in the cold like this. i guess the "reason" could be that they need yo add some bunch of bloatware.

            anyway chears mates

Samsung and LG haven't posted official dates yet because they own UI is swapped on top of Android L, meaning they'll need to get the kinks worked out, plus make sure their own propriety apps work with L before committing to a date. I've already seen developers post videos with a Samsung S5 running L, so it will happen it's just a matter of when.

Grand 2 (4.3 jelly bean) wont get any further update as it is a midrange device. Samsung only provide one update to midrange devices which is already rolled out (4.4 kitkat)

Please don't refer to android phones as "droids"

Motorola droids can be referred to as "droids" but you are confusing then general public when you refer to a Samsung phone as a droid.

Both Samsung and LG are working on their updates, but they are (up until now) quiet about their plans.

Maybe they don't want to pull "a Sony" that has (in the past) overpromised and then not delivered to some model(s).

In all fairness, at least Sony bothers to upgrade a lot of devices... which cannot be said about LG (being Samsung just marginally better).
