July security update failing to install on some carrier variants of Google Pixel
Google has confirmed that there's some issue with this month's security update and the company is working on it. Specifically, several Pixel users are getting an 'Installation problem' error when they try installing the update, which weighs in at 61.1MB.
Not every Pixel unit is affected by the problem though - reports say only units on T-Mobile, Project Fi, and Rogers (for which the update carries a build number of NKG47M) are having the problem. Also, the Pixel XL seems to be completely unaffected - update for the larger model weighs in at 70.1MB.
