Sony Xperia 2 appears in renders

Michail, 15 May 2019

While the Xperia 1 is still at the pre-order stage, the first images of its successor - the Xperia 2 - have surfaced online courtesy of OnLeaks. The renders show the device in its full glory with a detailed 360-degree look.

The phone will feature a 6.1-inch 4K OLED display with a tall 21:9 aspect ratio just like the Xperia 1. The dimensions are 158 x 68.3 x 8.3mm, which while longer is narrower than the Samsung Galaxy S10e, so we can finally expect another compact flagship from Sony. Inside the phone will have the Snapdragon 855 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The back will come with a triple camera setup which is in the top left. The fingerprint sensor will be on the side just like previous Sony phones.

The battery is expected to come in at 3,000mAh with 18W fast charging support. It’s nice to see that Sony is still going to be doing compact flagships going forward. We'll be keeping a close eye on this one and keep you updated.
