HMD Global's IFA event has started, five new Nokias will be unveiled

Peter, 05 September 2019

We’ve seen Nokias at IFA before, but this is HMD Global’s first time here. It’s easy to forget how young the company is sometimes, but it’s already winning accolades for the quality of its products.

HMD’s focus is on Android One smartphones with long software support, but the company still releases affordable feature phones. And phones like the Nokia 8110 4G have been re-imagined as smartphones based on KaiOS (which has a wider app selection than S40 ever did).

HMD has taken to Twitter to tease 5 new members of the Nokia family, so likely there will be a mix of Androids and re-imagined Nokia classics.

You can watch the livestream below, the event starts at 14:00 UTC.

Wish Nokia 9.1 with SD855+ and a 5x 64Mpix camera and plus TOF sensor will come soon. Good battery ram and display would be nice also at least 25w charging support.
