Last we heard of Huawei’s P40 Pro was when leaker @Evleaks Tweeted a render of the phone in its mint-green glory. Earlier last week, we also saw live spy-images of the phone out in public.

Today, a new bunch of official-looking renders was published by Waqar Khan. In addition to still images of the phone based on recent leaks and rumors, Khan has also created a video trailer mockup of the P40 Pro.

The renders show Huawei’s next flagship appear with four curved edges, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and dual-selfie cameras cut out of the (presumably) AMOLED display. The phones appear with Huawei’s signature red power key, and Leica branding on the camera.

Huawei’s P-series is its photography-oriented flagship for the masses. We’re expecting to see a powerful camera setup that may be heavily rivaled by the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with its supposed 108MP main camera and 10X optical zoom. Rumors suggest that Huawei will be launching three high-end variants including a new tier that we've been dubbing as “Premium” – which is the one rumored to have five main cameras.

As per previous rumors and leaked official renders, the Huawei P40 pro is expected to come with a quad-camera setup while the penta-cam is reserved for the Premium variant. Thus, the video renders (though labeled as “P40 Pro” more accurately depict the P40 Premium.

The P40 devices are expected to arrive with the same chipset as the Mate 30 Pro – the Kirin 990, built on the7nm process. Although the US government was planning to tighten restrictions with Huawei even further, American businesses and the Pentagon pushed back against the Trump Administration.
