Infinix Zero 5G in for review

Ivan, 08 February 2022

Today Infinix joined the 5G club with its Zero 5G, a phone that's much more than its next-gen connectivity would suggest.

The Infinix Zero 5G looks good, especially from the rear. It does resemble a certain Oppo flagship, no doubt about that. Whether the resemblance is accidental or otherwise is beside the point - the Zero 5G is a looker.

Its retail box is packed with all the accessories you need - a case, charger, and cable, as well as a set of headphones.

You can have the Infinix Zero 5G in three colors - Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue, and Skylight Orange.

Upfront, the Infinix Zero 5G has a big 6.78-inch LCD of FHD+ resolution. What's more, it runs at 120Hz with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and a promised brightness of 500 nits. It didn't quite reach that figure in our testing, but more about that in our full review.

The rear is very pretty to look at, but the polycarbonate plastic got smudged up real quick and it secured a heap of dust for good measure. If your OCD is as bad as ours, you'd better have the Zero 5G in that provided case, or have a cleaning cloth on you at all times (yes, we do have a few).

Then there are a few novelties like the three LED flashes - two on the rear and one for selfies, on the front. A potent 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging promises big battery life, while the cameras seem more than capable. The lack of an ultrawide camera is a bummer.

Stay tuned for our detailed review, coming soon!

Bruh Miui is the Shittiest UI of All, XOS is much better even if there are so many Bloatware and Ads, how about miui. I'll never throw a money on a phone with Fastboot, Bootloops, and Motherboard Issue that kinda sucks

Yeah kinda figured, for some it's not a big deal but I can't look past that.

Considering the Zero X Pro that has impressive camera hardware but performed worse than competitors, it's looks like Infinix is lacking expertise in the camera software department.
