iPad Pro OLED models are experiencing HDR color bug, fix incoming

Michail, 14 May 2024

The new OLED iPad Pros are experiencing a color reproduction bug when displaying HDR content. The issue is appearing on both the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models and shows blown-out blue colors that appear to have patches of white streaks on them. This appears to be an issue with the image-processing engine.

Apple has already acknowledged the issue and is actively working on a fix which is set to arrive with the next version of iPadOS. There is no immediate time frame for when this fix will arrive. Apple’s new iPad Pro models are set to go on open sale tomorrow.
