Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 gets FCC approval

Vince, 03 December, 2015

FCC has spilled the beans on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 tablet. The slate will have an 8" 1280x800 pixel display and will utilize a Snapdragon 410 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU. Further specs include 1.5GB of RAM with 16GB of built-in storage and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to boot. Measurements are 126 x 221 x 8.9mm.

At the back, the tablet will have a 5MP camera and a 1.9MP front-facing one. Connectivity includes GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n and 4G LTE. The battery is rated at 5,000mAh.

The successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 should launch on Verizon in January next year. We're still unclear on pricing and international availability.
