BlackBerry Priv, DTEK50 and DTEK60 all get November security patches

Kaloyan, 07 November 2016

Good news for the Blackberry owners - the company has begun seeding the latest November security firmware updates on the Android-powered Priv, DTEK50, and DTEK60.

There are no official change logs or update schedule, but various reports confirm the availability of these updates on all three devices. If you own one of these smartphones, it's a good idea to check for updates.

By the way, if you have a BlackBerry Priv from Verizon, the carrier has recently begun seeding the long-awaited Marshmallow update, so you should probably get that first, if you haven't already.

Anyway, if any official statement comes up, we'll make sure to keep you updated.

They get updates every month - it's nothing new. If it had been a different OEM there would be a street barbeque and an army parade and fireworks because it doesn't happen so often.
