OnePlus 3 gets another beta Nougat release

OnePlus has promised that both the OnePlus 3T and the older 3 will get final, stable updates to Android 7.0 Nougat this month. However, that now feels like it won't actually happen. We're three days removed from the end of the month (and the year), and the company is today releasing a new beta Nougat build for the OnePlus 3. This is the third testing iteration of the new OS version for the phone, with the previous update going out two weeks ago.

We assume OnePlus won't then come out in the next three days with the final build, because if it does we have to wonder what the point of today's update was. Anyway, the new release for the OnePlus 3 comes as OxygenOS Open Beta 10. If you have a previous Open Beta build on your handset, you'll receive an over-the-air update to the new one. Otherwise, you need to flash the new software via ADB. The only downside to testing these builds (aside from the fact that you may be encountering nasty bugs and stability issues) is that if you want to go back to the official over-the-air updates for OxygenOS, you will need to roll back and lose data in the process.

OxygenOS Open Beta 10 comes with Data Saver added, optimized fingerprint unlocking speed, better quality for expanded screenshots, improved Wi-Fi performance, system performance, and battery consumption, as well as a fix for reverting to the default theme after reboot, and one for a lock screen clock bug in portrait mode.
