Samsung Galaxy S5 in Europe is now receiving the January security update
Following the similar rollouts that went out in the last 24 hours for Sprint's and Verizon's versions of the Galaxy S5 in the US, Samsung is now busy pushing out an update to those units purchased from Europe.
The update is now rolling out over-the-air in several countries across the continent, coming in as a 53MB download. It will add the usual unnamed bug fixes and performance improvements, but also the security update for January. This was readied by Samsung and Google at the start of the month, as you may recall.
If you have a Galaxy S5 that's unbranded and was bought unlocked, then after applying the patch you will find yourself on build XXS1CQA9, whereas carrier-branded models will be either on XXS1CQAV or XXS1CQA1 (and possibly other different builds depending on network). The safest way to see if you're up to date is to check the Android security patch level in Settings > About, which should be "January 1, 2017".

I downloaded a bunch of programs but ubciuls probably go into the settings where it says Mobil network orbs OK mthjng but top right

As much as I wish that would happen, it's not going to unfortunately. The phone is 3 years old and Snapdragon 801 doesn't support Nougat.
