Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 listed on GearBest with full list of specs

Enrique, 20 April 2017

Online retailer GearBest has listed the unreleased Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 on its website. There is even an “Arrival Notice” button where you can submit your email to be notified when the phone becomes available.

Even before getting to the listed specs, the render image on the listing is clearly a mockup. We don’t know that Xiaomi would make the entire front of the phone nothing-but-display and completely omit a front-facing camera. That one thing that smartphones have had for several years now.

Now that the (most likely) fake render is out of the way, let’s get to the specs. According to this listing, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will tick a Snapdragon 835 chipset. Which isn’t entirely unlikely given that the newly announced Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus both have the chip. Three memory configurations are also in the listing: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB.

A 19MP main camera is listed along with a 13MP front-facing camera which, again, is not represented in the render. Anyway, there’s a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 2540x1440px resolution. There is a 4,500 mAh battery as well.

The dimensions are also listed here, but these are the same dimensions as the OG Mi Mix, so it must be like a placeholder, like many of these specs may be.

Thanks for the tip, Prarthik!

Oooh yeah...i love that 4500mAh battery capacity, large screen with minimal bezels and i hope not as elongated n narrow as the 18:9 aspect ratio screens. One of my top devices.. together with Mate 10, Pixel 2XL, LG V30 and Nokia 9.
