Android Pay coming to South Korea in August

Himanshu, 13 June 2017

According to a new report from South Korea, Google will launch its mobile payments service Android Pay in the country in August this year. The launch, report notes, was set for last month, but got delayed due to issues "related to the application of security token technology."

Samsung Pay is already available in the Asian country, and LG recently launched its own mobile payments service there.

Android Pay recently launched in Canada, and around a week prior to that, the service arrived in Russia as well. Last month, the Mountain View, California-based company said Android Pay will soon be available in a total of 15 countries around the globe.
