Apple iPhone 8 back panel leaks

Yordan, 11 July 2017

Apple is expected to unveil the anniversary iPhone, also dubbed iPhone 8, in September. There are around two months until the announcement, but the phone is already being revealed bit by bits by leaksters. Latest photo gives us a look at the iPhone 8’s back with a single vertical oval cutout for the camera setup.

The new iPhone will have a glass back cover. The Apple logo is at its usual place, so a fingerprint scanner on the back is not happening, despite what some sources claimed.

Having a glass back will be a throwback to older series of iPhones. The last time Apple used such cover was in 2011 when the iPhone 4S was announced. Back then the frame was metal, and we should expect a similar solution with the iPhone 8.

Thanks for the tip, Mikke!

Why not place the fingerprint sensor in apple logo? They can come up with under screen fingerprint sensor in.... I don't know another year may be when they launch iPhone 8s.
