Essential will launch in UK, Japan and Continental Europe

Ivan, 17 July 2017

The Essential PH-1 missed its shipping deadline in the US, but the company behind it ensured us that it's still planning big and will launch outside of the US too.

Currently a Sprint exclusive in the States and a soon to be TELUS exclusive in Canada the Essential wasn't confirmed to reach any other markets. But Essential representatives have been in talks with EE and others in the UK, working on a release date for the Essential there.

There are also plans to bring the Essential to other western European countries and Japan. There's no word on pricing yet but if the US price of $700 is any indication, don't expect it to be cheap.

Future plans aside there's no sidestepping the fact that Essential didn't deliver on its first obligation of shipping Stateside so we'll wait for that to happen before getting our hopes high.
