Motorola One Power passes 3C certification

Ro, 06 June 2018

It's not the first time we hear about the so-called Motorola One Power smartphone but information so far is pretty scarce aside from some renders, a real-life photo and an unconfirmed list of specs. It literally came out of the blue last week but it seems that it's not too early for the device to be certified by the Chinese authorities.

On the 3C certification website, the Motorola One Power pops up with its model number listed as XT1942-1. It could be another Motorola-branded device, but since this is the latest device the company is working on - and the Moto Z3 Play is going to be announced today - we are pretty certain this is the One.

Unfortunately, though, there's not much the 3C report reveals, aside from the model number we've listed above and the supported charging speeds - 5V/3A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A. The maximum 18W output is supported, so Qualcomm's Quick Charge is definitely supported.

With the 3C certification passed, we expect the device to come sooner rather than later and if the price is right, the Motorola One Power could be Motorola's turning point.
