The BlackBerry KEY2 video review is up

Chavdar S., 15 July 2018

We already reviewed the BlackBerry KEY2 in our typical detailed manner - the long-form text review has been up on our homepage for the past week or so.

But if you'd like to see the device in action, Ricky has prepared a pretty exhaustive video review too, which just went live on our YouTube channel.

The BlackBerry Key2 is a real attention-grabber with its unorthodox form factor and rubber back cover. But it's bound to remain a niche product, or at least Ricky thinks so. The majority of us have already gotten used to on-screen typing and switching back to a physical keyboard takes some determination in order for you to adjust.

The unusual screen aspect ratio also presents challenges of its own.

But once you get over these two, the KEY2 will reward you with great user experience thanks to its software, which is rich in features and high on customizability (shortcuts, shortcuts everywhere!).

The only serious letdown with this device seems to be the camera performance which seems better fitting of a substantially cheaper device.

But let's not spoil this any further - enjoy the video review and you can decide for yourself about the strong and weak points of this phone.

As usual, make sure you subscribe to our YT channel so you don't miss the latest videos by Angie, Ricky, and Will.

You should also know that we read all the feedback you give us (including pics of your cats and love notes for Angie) but we'd love it if you let us know what you like best or least about our videos as always try to improve.

You have completely misunderstood the difference. A 18:9 or 19:9 display, that has Full HD+ resolution, can still show a 16:9 Full HD video in full, just that it will have black borders on the sides. It can also show any app, some with adopted inte...

This. The QWERTY is nice but the cost of screen realestate is too much to pay. All physical QWERTY handsets should be Priv type hybrids.. with the best of both worlds. A new Priv with BB 11 OS... one can only wish.
