Gurman: Apple Vision Pro coming sometime around March
In his latest Power On newsletter, Blomberg's Mark Gurman predicts that the Vision Pro will likely debut 'sometime around March'. This is the most solid timeframe we've had yet for the $3,499 headset.
Gurman shares that Apple aimed to release the Vision Pro in January 2024, but the company is still behind with its distribution plans and doing final testing.
Apple will reportedly sell the Vision Pro by appointment in its retail stores and on its website. The headset won't be available with third-party partners as Apple wants to carefully curate the rollout of the Vision Pro.
The Vision Pro comes with a variety of SKUs, including prescription lenses, and different-size headbands, which makes keeping stock in many brick-and-mortar stores difficult.
Apple has slowly been readying the launch of the Vision Pro - the latest visionOS beta features onboarding materials, including videos, while iOS 17.2 beta has Vision Pro features like AirPlay Receiver and support for spatial videos on iPhone 15 Pro models.

When even diehard Apple fans think that price tag is ridiculous, you know its not going to set the sales chart on fire. Resale going to be a pain too given the specific individual customisations wont be suitable for everyone.
