it's not about ram and cpu
it's about performance
beacause windows 8 is very smooth and not loaded os it runs in 512 ram very smoothly without lagging

Nokia L625 is totally overpriced.Nokia l625 should be undr 15k but they launching the gud phones but prices of evry cl phone is ovrpricd xept l520.

it is not about how much of ram, but is because i need to play games on the phone.
and most of 3d games on windows phone needs 1 gb of ram

n about market trend.. market consists higher chipsen n more ram only because android.. coz android not works properly with low ram..
so cant say 2gb ram as market trend.. android developers adopt more ram coz android wants it..
but wp8 doesnt need more ram..

its not android.. to run android smoothly wants 2gb ram..
here wp8 1 gb ram= android more than 1gb ram
so not only nokia even samsung, htc, huawei wp8 also hav 512mb ram..
coz of ths it gets 8.6 rating for performance.

NOKIA 720 IS A BETTER OPTION
think hardware side, u wl get 4G on Lumia 625 Bt b.live dats not a huge difference of internet speed, again in india all network providers don't provide 4G. 1.2GHz processor of Lumia 625 makes nearly same work as 1 Ghz of Lumia 720.
the RAM 512 MB, not 1 GB,same in both dat means u can not enjoy full applications and gaming joy. u gt buletooth v4 on Lumia 625 bt you will not find its application largely, bt still better than bluetooth 3 on lumia 720. again wat finds great use 2day is NFC which u wo't get in lumia 625, bt u get it on Lumia 720.
camera is 5MP normal, fullHD recording back cam, front vga on lumia 625,,, bt Lumia 720 brings you Carl Zeiss lens which is far more than in quality than quantity yet only 720ppi HD recording bt greater than Lumia 625, again low light camera qualiy is better in Lumia 720.
ALL OF ABOVE WHAT MATTERS IS THE FIRST LOOK AND DISPLAY DAT lUMIA 720 OVERTAKES lUMIA 625.
However be the features bt look matters since, we look at the display first, then we move to features, Lumia 720 has got clear black display technology, which means you get darkest black and finest of bright colours, wchich Lumia 625 does't provides.
So for only large display bt not good clear black, full HD bt not CARL ZEISS technology, 4G bt not much difference, Bluetooth 4 but not NFC, you pay. The product must be value for money, bt the values must match its usage and needs but not just show off.
i hav used Lumia 720, had seen 625 on release and any mobile above it are Lumia 925 and only Lumia 1080.

But why 512mb RAM, i dont seem to understand. On top of it, gets a 8.6 on performance, oh please grow up and just dont give points for the sake of it. 2GB Ram are common and now and still Nokia sticks 512MB forever...

5 MP camera, 512 Mb RAM, 199 ppi display. Price in India approx 19K. Just doesn't live up to competition. SONY Xperia SP stands tall at almost the same price with 8 MP camera, 1 Gb RAM, and 319 ppi.
For those who look at Brands other than Samsung (every second person owns Galaxy Grand/Note) Nokia and SONY offer good options.Nokia should be a bit more aggressive in specs and pricing.
