26 December 2013
As the Finnish company's first Windows tablet, the Nokia Lumia 2520 cannot complain about lack of attention from both brand loyalists and industry pundits. Announced alongside the Lumia 1520 phablet...

ajs13, 29 Dec 2014This is kinda a silly question. Can I download apps like CB... moreSorry, don't know what that program is... The choices for RT (2520) are: 1). The developer updates to universal apps or A). Run your app 'in the cloud' with a x86 or x86 windows, and use RDP Remote Desktop (Protocol).

That "A" option has gotten rather inexpensive now with Azure. Depending on your needs, you might share resources with a web site or other use to bring hosting costs to almost zero. HTH.

And here we are in April 2015.

I bought a bunch of the 2520,s new, on the RT Dies 1 Feb 2017 news.

It's weird seeing the RT store exploding with apps from my phone side, going universal.

The iPad case with removable Bluetooth KB works fine, however you will have to cut the case if you want the main camera.

My only wish is that I could find glass screen cover instead of a plastic cover. I have 9h glass on my 1520 and the difference so obvious.

BTW, I also have the T100 with x86 Windows as well. Given a 2520 in decent shape is 1/2 or less the money of the Acer T100, unless you Need some x86 app, the build quality of the 2520 are 2nd to none.

This is kinda a silly question. Can I download apps like CBR Reader to my PC and transfer it to Nokia Lumia 2520 and install without any problem. Any help regarding this will be much appreciated.

The tablet is awesome for what it is. Ive had the note what's the point of it? People judge on apps and limitations but ask yourself this. What OS is running the work place and most of our computers. You can't use excel for the work place on other tablets natively. Word processing is a must for anyone at home, school or work place. This tablet provides you that tool. How many other tablets provide you easy networking with your home network cause it runs windows, share files etch. Most Samsung tablets are just way bigger phones.

Anonymous, 30 Dec 2013because iOS have more battery endurance then RT. and and... moreMust be somewhat special, you.

The Nokia vs the T100, is pointless. Mainly cause this is sporting LTE and can be added to any Data plan on a cell carrier. The T100 would need to be either tethered or data stick tethered.

Also, Flash? You're kidding right? You do know RT has flash support built right in. All those 'flash' games are playable...

The only difference is that just like the ipad and droid, you have a tablet os. What desktop software does droid offer? None? Oh Linux right? Yup I bet if you have a droid, non power user, Linux will be a piece of cake for you. iOS? Yup you are flying with full OSX apps...

Please, the only thing lacking is apps, and even then that gap is almost nonexistent since you have a full browser capable of actually doing work. Not to mention office, for you know work. Meh nevermind, I know your head is hurting after LTE

and android have more browsing feature then RT.

Buying windows RT is a waste of money, you rather get ipad or samsung's 2014 edition if you want long and productive webbrowsing.

If you dieing to get windows tablet anyways.. Get the full windows 8 for java / applets / flash like the Asus T100 for 399$ bucks then this nokia lumia crap.

If you're in the market for a chromebook then this would be the better bet. Way more useful, way more secure than normal windows and battery life that ultrabooks can only dream of.

Microsoft needs to reduce the licenses for WP8 to very low or free to compete with Android. Android has too many OEMs making phones for it due to Android being free or very cheap
but this never happen because Microsoft policy is so bad ! Why the not want to success! I always I asked myself,

Windows RT = Hell NO, Heck NO, NO Way ;) It's not even about how many apps have WP (or RT), ist about this nonfunctional OS, about all limitations of this OS. MS shouldnt go that way...RT like W8(WP) is failure, so what they patch up WP, it's not even funny when they give us radio, support x4 core cpu, full hd after three years, all functions as the last on the market.
In the case of WP, Nokia tried more than MS...and as a reward they disappeared from the market :D
Hardware even interesting, but not with this system.

People like to criticize Windows RT for not being Windows, but they don't see the strengths of it. iOS and Android do have a much stronger app store and developer support, but the Windows app store is improving. That is where iOS and Android's strengths over Windows RT end. Windows RT brings a lot of good features to tablets: snapping multiple apps side by side, intuitive gestures to switch apps and close apps, ability to create multiple user accounts (Android now has this too, but iOS does not), ability to not just mirror to an external display, but to extend the display.

onex, 29 Dec 2013why would you advertise it with 32gb internal memory when y... more"why would you advertise it with 32gb internal memory when you only get 17.5 for use?"

Likely because.... Microsoft's reporting of storage space is no different than that of other manufacturer's in that the device is, in fact, equipped with 32gb of on-board storage BEFORE installation of the Operating System, Core Apps and (in the case of many devices) MS Office, which leaves around 20.5 left for the user (after a simple transfer the restore partition to a thumb drive).

Apple does much the same thing as the iPad Air 32gb actually offers around 25gb free to the user BEFORE installing iWork and iLife and around 21.5gb after.

You, or anyone else, can beleaguer the fact that Microsoft/Nokia chose to include a full version of MS Office 2013 Home/Office (a US 200.00+ value) on their devices all you want, but many find the inclusion of this industry standard productivity software a value added asset.

FACT: Need more storage for music, photos , videos on a Lumia 2520? Just buy a 32gb microSDXC card for around US 20.00 or a 64gb for around US 40.00 and have at it, which sure beats having to pay another US 100.00 just to go from 16gb to 32gb on an iPad Air.
