08 April 2014

Your book of a comment makes you come across as an apologist on behalf of shamesung and that's the honest truth.
      Now bring me my Z2.....

I am an s4 user first and foremost. Samsung always does well to throw features in the phone until one sticks with a consumer and that becomes the USP for that consumer. Despite what people think they will always be there or there about at the top. Build quality may be lacking but the fact is they make great handsets and just because you are a fan of another brand doesn't mean you have to tarnish the Samsung one. They're still great.

Moving on to the s5. I really like the isocell camera speed and also the fingerprint scanner and brightness features. They're practical and for me would be used daily. However with Samsung I find it hard now to justify the plastic. Its merely a matter of taste. If you want that removable battery then go Samsung. If not then perhaps another brand is for you. In my opinion I think touchwiz still looks slow in some videos I have seen. On my s4 I changed developer options so hoepfully this can be done on s5 but the my magazine and opening of the camera app particularly look juttery.

I bought an m8 on Sunday and I do love it. I find the ui so fast the build quality outstanding battery life incredible and despite what people may think... I've had great great results off the camera. In many cases it has beat the s4 due to allowing so much more light in and there being less noise. I am still considering the s5 however. Something does draw me to Samsung. Maybe its all they cram in their phone .

I'll probably stick with m8 however by no means does that mean the s5 is a bad phone. Its fantastic just like the HTC. The low light performance is still not up to scratch on the Samsung but that's just my opinion. To anyone trying to decide read this and other impartial comments. They're great handsets and you can't go wrong. If you want a faster experience with a better software and unique camera editing as well as the best speakers then HTC is for you. If you want the scanner the heart rate monitor and the better camera in full light then s5.

        Hope this helps

[deleted post]all the companies are copying from each other,it is not a shame especially if it is something is going to happen one day or another and something that eases people's life.

someone invented fingerprint sensor, apple added it to its iphone, then samsung added it with extra features,it is much easier to use than putting a pass word or drawing a pattern ,soon other companies will add it to their phones.

both sony and samsung new flagships are water water resistant and not water proof.
the s5 is not the first phone from samsung that has the IP certification and unlike sony the loud speaker performance still good in the s5.

iphone uses an operating system called iOS which does not need much ram, android os which runs sony an samsung phones need larger ram than the iOS,but the latest version of android can run nicely with the use of 512mp of ram only, heavy graphic games will ask for 1GB of ram as minimum requirement and 2GB as the recommended requirement, for now u can't say the s5 has low ram.

the 3rd party heart rate apps don't give correct readings.

I am a galaxy & note series fan but OMG! What a great camera the LUMIA 1520 have its beats every rivel including the OIS enabled LG G PRO 2 in low light photography ,look at the colors of the teddy its looks very clear and the fov is also great with great details vs S5 camera is just focusing on the teddy's face thats it just like note3 cam ...without great details(just a dark grey picture) i may just go for LUMIA 1520 as it is also going to support miracast as it is useful for me ...But ooh! I wud have to miss on android customization and android freedom....

After my bad experience in Samsung Galaxy S4, the unit get extremely hot and the battery become swollen, I changed the battery twice in period of 4 months, and even charging time on USB is very very slow. Also MMC issues every time I connect my mobile to laptop the laptop hang than I discover that the problem is from the MMC and keep changing MMC every 2 months. Therefore I don’t recommend any body to buy Samsung mobile there is a lot of other brands 100 times better than Samsung mobile like HTC one LG G2 Xperia Z2.

give the s5 a spin and youll change your mind within 5 minutes. the ui still stutters. i guess it has to do with touchewiz but are you willing to pay for a flagship phone that stutters? dealbreaker.
