Samsung D900 review: Slim slider extreme

26 September 2006
The slimmest slider in the world already on the market. Samsung D900 (12.9 mm thick when closed) offers almost maximum equipment. It has also been given a special final touch: a 3 megapixel camera and a superb display. Now try to imagine it all in a stylish sliding body. The price, however, is rather high.

I noticed that when the phone rings, the ringer starts off low and then goes to the normal tone after the first ring. Is there a way to change it so that it always rings at the proper volume? Also it seems none of my text msgs are being kept in 'Sentbox'. Is there a way to make it save sent msgs there? thanks.

I have a Samsung D500 that has been through a full wash and dry cycle and still worked after I dried it out on the dashboard of my Ford F250. Does anybody think the D900, or indeed any other phone will be as tolerant????

This might be a noobie question, but looking to leave motorola and one concern I have. they keep mentioning ringing profiles. Can I give people in the phonebook each thier own ringtone. I know the phone can ring with mp3 files and the "groups" can have a selected ringer, but can each person have thier own ringer?
                  thanks guys!

I've bought this phone on the open market because in Canada is not available from any carriers.
It is partially unlocked (i think); so i can use it on any network. What buggers me is that everytime i want to use the WAP browser to access the internet, it gives me a network error message. I've called Fido (mobile carrier) and they said to Call samsung because internet should be ok from their side (it was ok on my old Sony/Errikson). Well Samsung is closed on weekends. Any help from you guys would be appreciated.

Can you transfer text messages from the phone to your pc with a D900? My brother has a Z400 and the options 'Message manager' and 'Multimedia messages' are disabled on PC Studio 3 :(

                        To samsung scores,
I thought sliding mechanism is the same as previous samsung sliders. I used E800, and D500 b4 and now using D900. All are same.
D900 is most stylish 3mega cam ph in the market so far. It still has some limited functions though.

The question is: Does the D900 vibrate the exact time it rings? Can you personalise a message tone with music? and not just the default poly ringtones...

ive used the D600 for a yr n E800 prior to it, b4 switching to D900. i muz say the reviews of the cam quite biased,,.... it takes v clear pix n details r actually captured!! i like the dif mode settings... however auto may not be so intuitive, i prefer to do it manually tho. wat i dun like is the sliding mechanism... E800 n D600 both had spring mechanism... why isnt D900 equipped with that??? the sound quality is amazing.... ive dumped nokia n have not looked back since

living world theme is great but , i think not many ppl travelling around the world frequently. So, its abit boring to see ur country wallpaper everyday. :(
battery is weak due to bright , large, and brilliant screen.

I buy this phone and i found many features nobody talk about it the d900 contain phone tracking system which when you chang the default sim card it will send the serial number form the phone to the defult phone only need to activate it in settings and when you travel to 70 selected country it will chang the picture of the theme even it has better close focus than the k800 for cards the only problem is the battery and 3g
