It's not like there is a short supply of equivalent (or even surpassing) Androids!

As a direct reply to your quoted Knox "issues" (which is a closed-source proprietary solution by Samsung), maybe you should first educate yourself as to what happened there and how that particular case is due to a deployment error that opens up a MiTM attack. I'll give you an hint, it's similar to BSRT-2014-008 with the difference that one was solely BB fault (they were both the ones creating and deploying it).

You have also failed to realize Android 5 features full-phone encryption by default and Android already had that option for a really long time now.

Any government that shackles themselves to closed-source without any possibility to audit is the one on the stupid side. Android is Open Source, CVEs are expected to be found and resolved (that's the whole point of OSS). BBOS is closed source, you don't know what you have until something bad happens. BSRT-2014-003 for instance.

Android bring affordability and smartphone experience to varying degrees depending on specs, usage and quality of the carrier.

In addition there are off the shelf hardware that anyone can buy that will enable easy hacking into an Android device where as recent Apple move to encryption and Blackberry's own encryption standards poise difficulties if not far better security than Android.

Any Government that uses Android would have to be stupid regardless.

                        look.

I have a samsung s4 and an iPad. both for mobile fun on the run. I now have come back to BB for business and have bought the classic. The device cannot be beat for true business players. If I want to watch porn and play games, I will resort to my iPad and S4. BB is amazing for ME for my business. Again, cannot be beat. That's my opinion. Every device has a purpose. And for business, It's blackberry through and through. Porn = Android. Games and bullshit = iPhone. Just the way it is.

You realize that in 2010, before the Microsoft announcement, Nokia sold more smartphones than Apple or any Android manufacturer?

BlackBerry is smart to stay the course.

There is no amount of marketing that can fix that.
I find it amusing how you exclude Apple from the comparison and yet, somehow, you forget to mention Android can be just as expensive as Apple (which was your argument to exclude Apple) -- but yet you went ahead and tried to generalize something that really isn't generalizable.

Please tell me where BB is more secure than many Androids (in the price-point of a BB), specially since the US government disagrees with you for their own phones (which are now Samsungs with Knox).

Lets take Apple out of the equation, as they are more expensive, and your are left with WP8.1 devices, which do have an attractive price point verses specs verse functions and with excellent reception, and then you have unsecure Android but with a huge eco system and gaming platform, but with varying reception, clarity and reliability depending on the manufacturer. If you dont play games, then one should look at the Noika lumina platform 8.1 which is now fairly good, but I like the Blackberry OS in particular as being the best OS, and providing a better communication experience for messaging, emails and with a great brouser. The hub is the best feature by a long shot and even though I have play around with other devices, once you have used BB OS, the others are positively ancient. I have the BBZ30, which has excellent battery life, one of the best reception mobiles in the business, and one of the most secure. The issue is Blackberry is not getting its OS out into the market enough. Bad pricing and marketing.

Just received my classic and this phone was amazing. I replace my old iphone. It's not android device so as long as it can run smoothly, no need for better spec. Remember why iphone only has 1 gb ram and no one complain about it? Spec racer only work for android, not for BlackBerry 10 and IOS
