Samsung Gear S review: Between two worlds

20 December 2014
Samsung is knees deep in the latest trend of gearing up your wrist with an extension of your smartphone. The Gear S however walks the extra mile of offering independent 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity along with full telephony support...

I love my Gear S, battery life is pretty good for me; it lasts for almost 2 days without charging plus 50% extra battery from the charging dock. Ofcourse i have my display brightness reduced. The only this i dont like is i can't install google android wear apps (maybe i don't know).

This review is slaughtering the Gear S and i still feel you were to kind, this device is uselessness defined. The most unreal part is that a standalone device need a Samsung phone for initial setup.

I'd love a smartwatch but using BB phone lately i have no options, i want a watch that is a COMPANION to my phone, not something that try to duplicate a lot of existing functionality on the phone.
